Dalton McGuinty to replace Ignatieff?

Not the first time we’ve heard this rumour.

Of course Dalton has always poo-pooed these suggestions, but considering his record on credibility and promise-keeping I’d say all options are on the table.

Wednesday Update

McGuinty retains support despite turning tail
John Ivison:

Mr. McGuinty’s time in office since 2003 has been characterized by conflict avoidance — a strategy helped by the billions of dollars thrown at the education and health systems, not to mention generous pay deals with doctors, teachers and public-sector unions.

( . . . )

Voters in Ontario will go to the polls in 14 months and the main planks of the Liberals’ campaign will be their record on the environment and education. The Premier has taken pre-emptive action by pulling two policies — eco fees and sex education — that could have defined those two issues. “They both had barbecue season potential — you don’t want people talking about the new tax on their propane tank, just as they turn it on,” said one senior Liberal.

The Ontario Liberals learned from the eHealth spending scandal last year that forced Health Minister David Caplan to resign. “We should have lanced that boil much earlier — fired everyone and started over,” said the Liberal. “We paid the price for not acting quickly enough.”

  1. Liz J says:

OMG, McGuinty at the federal level would be a rel nightmare. We may ponder leaving a province but it would be difficult to leave the country as a recourse. If there were any such thing as shame left in our world the guy would go off and hide. However, when you tax and lie and get rewarded with majority governments, what’s to lose?

Noting Tasha K in the NP, seems she’s is in favour of the long census but “fixing it”.

Why the Liberals led by Space guy Garneau are so in love with the intrusive long form census is puzzling when one of their bronzed heroes, PET, is famous for for saying the government has no business in the bedrooms of the nation.

  2. Garfield says:

Thanks a lot! I just puked up my breakfast at the thought of that arsehole ruining Canada the way he has ruined Ontario. Imagine his nasty little twerp brother David being a Cabinet minister? God help us all!

  3. Honey Pot says:

McGuinty is the perfect fit for leader of the federal liberals, he has that lying, sneaking way about him, that is a prerequisite to being a good liberal.

He just stole how much money from the taxpayer with his sneaky green tax? Sure they backed off, but that was enough to remind Canadians what it means to vote liberal.

  4. Alberta Girl says:

Liz – the Liberals are in favour of it because the Conservatives are against it – plain and simple. If the Conservatives said they wanted to keep it, the Liberals would be rallying against it.

Plus all those “special interest groups” won’t be able to use the info to apply for all the “grants” they get from the Federal Gov’t. Their cries of outrage are because they see it as another way the Tories are “taking away from women/poor/ethnic groups/natives/gays/arts/prisoners/provinces/unions and ‘whatever group is lined up at the trough for our tax dollars so that they don’t have to actually go out and fundraise or work’

    Just sayin….

  5. Bec says:

    Ahhhh, run for cover!

Weeds, windmills, unions and higher taxes to fund the social programs in every corner of the country? The Liberals are DONE when they consider Dalty Lyin a respectable change. I smell WK!

  6. Alberta Girl says:

Oh – I forgot a few on the “line up list” in my last comment

Don’t forget the eco-nuts and of course the all important “Jedi Knight Church”. I am sure there is a whole list of “trough eaters” that see their slop being taken away.

  7. Martin says:

I am all for it, but I doubt the federal Liberals are that dumb. No provincial premier has ever been elected PM in recent years (Jean Charest is the reverse). Voters would never go for a rejected Ont. leader. I would say the chances of this are between nil and zero.
Still if it would end his meddling of Ont, that would be a plus.

  8. Jen says:

If BOB Rae became a liberal after what he had done to Ontario, why not Dalton?

You never know that Uncle Mo Strong will be welcomed into that party as well-the more the merrier especially when Mo thinks the same as the far far left, a man who wants to destroy CAPILALISM.

  9. Norm says:

    Garfield’s comments +1

  10. Richco says:

Once we get over our disgust this makes the most sense for the LPOC.

Don’t get too excited though because just if McGuinty replaces Ignatieff it’s still a long, LONG way to the PM’s chair.

If it happens it will be after the provincial election – win or lose – hopefully lose. He’ll still have a campaign team in place for a federal run.

I like the odds of a Harper vs. McGuinty match-up.

Oh, and as for Dalton denying anything like this, just remember how well he keeps his promises and take it from there.

I believe this has always been in the works.

  11. MaryT says:

What is with this Jedi Church thing. On P&P yesterday re census Pierre P said, in regards to how needed this is said, last census x number said they belonged to this church. Garneau just smiled.
Perhaps we should ask, what info do the libs want to get from us for a census should we ever be stupid enough to vote them back in.
A lot of the questions have stayed the same for years and who was in power when they were put in.
And David McKay (sp) answers today on cbc are really stupid. It takes years for a bus route or new bank to be finalized and any decisions made re the census would be so out of date.
Oh, and with the new funding for aids or whatever, why doesn’t Dalton just ban gay sex. He is banning everything else.
Maybe that could be asked on the next census, do you favor banning gay sex, and safe sites, to reduce the increase in aids.

  12. ck says:

Funny how none of you talks about the census until Harper brings it up. Funny how the power of suggestion seems to work.

You all cry about the government intruding on your privacy but have no problem with the American government accessing all of your personal info if you’re boarding a plane that will fly in their airspace without even landing (hello Bill c-42); have no problem with scanners that can see your naked body at airports (yuck!) have no problem with random search and seizures during G20 week-end. I’ve been asking conservatives that one, yet none of you can explain it. Still waiting.

As for Dalton McGuinty taking over the Liberals, you can take the sedatives now. Not goin’ to happen. He’s in enough hot water as it is in his own province. Boy, I get the feeling you conservatives aren’t happy unless you have some boogie man floating around in the night.

  13. Natasha says:

Oh please, oh please… McGuinty is so hated in Ontario, he’d clinch a majority for the Conservatives.

  14. wilson says:

  15. byng says:

and I suppose he’d be dragging that butt-kicking war room “entitlist” with him – one can only hope !

  16. ladee_J says:

Maybe this would lead to the real demise of both McGuinty and the federal libs…things are heating up for Dalt today…we can only hope.

  17. wilson says:

McSlippery or Iffy, not much difference there.
-Both barrel ahead spending big bucks without knowledge/control, only to have to back-track later.
    Sex-ed; E-health; Eco tax
-Both cave to special interest groups
-Both see the answer to prosperity as more taxes more regulation and appeasing ‘progressives’ voices.

McSlippery was a perfect fit, in 2008… I think that window of opportunity is closed.

  18. Jenny says:

Whats the deal over at Bourque.com??? They have lost my daily visit. If I wanted a left wing puppet I woul dwatch the CBC. NO THANKS!!

  19. Richco says:

Natasha – “McGuinty is so hated in Ontario, he’d clinch a majority for the Conservatives.”

    Exactly!

I question that provincially the Liberals have no one to replace Dalton with. Maybe not at the moment but perhaps after a failed Mayoral try someone like Rossi would be a contender leaving McGuinty to jump ship to the feds. earlier.

  20. frmgrl says:

Whats the deal over at Bourque.com???

He lost me a few months ago. I had been a regular. I noticed he had gone very anti-Harper and CPC. I don’t know what happened. He used by pretty non-partisan.

  21. MaryT says:

BLY took him off her side bar quite a while ago, and so has Jacksnewwatch.
Didn’t he have conservative advertising on his race car. Wonder what happened to him, and why he changed to liberals can’t do no wrong. Bet he lost a lot of visitors.

  22. MaryT says:

OT but why do we need the census, WK has a column at NNW and when you click on up comes a survey asking, lots of personal questions re income, age, gender.
    Didn’t answer them.

  23. Soccermom says:

McGuinty? Bahahahahaha!!! Oh man, these Liberals are soooo out of touch. It’s an even worse illness than I thought, LOL!

  24. Jen says:

Guys, go to ICEMAN site, Mallick trashs Palin and FOX Megan hits back…..

  25. MaryT says:

What has happened to our female writers, Jacobs goes off the wall today. And the comments under her rant shows just how ignorant some people are, or uninformed. One says, so what if you don’t answer a question, not likely the form will get mailed back to you. He has missed all the comments re the census taker opening them up and then threatening jail or fines.
The media, both print and tv are more upset and outraged over this than they were about the summits, or protests. What are they covering up that they zero in on this, the fact the bus tour is a flop. And is the bus really in Sask. as WK says. It will be in Quebec tomorrow. I hope someone is keeping an eye on it to see when iggy gets on it or off it, from some plane.

  26. batb says:

All I can think of, is if McGuilty replaces Iffy, the LPC is going straight from the frying pan into the fire.

These guys are totally bankrupt. All they can do is bring in totally inept rookies or recycled pols.

    Yikes! Yuck!

  27. Bubba Brown says:

The Long Form…… how we regret it’s demise, the end of civilization as we have known it. What a crock of crap, from all the usual suspects. As has been suggested if the Conservatives were keeping the long form they (the usual suspects) would be screeching that it was an anachronism and should be done away with. I don’t know anybody who “had” to fill it out that was very happy about it BTW. But then I am speaking of ordinary Canadians who work for a living, pay taxes and don’t want to tell the Government all their business at the insistance of someone wandering around collecting information, especially in small towns.

But hey! Mr Iggys every Timmys, Legion Hall and sniffing post for dawgs tour, don’t forget to check your Pee mail Sni-Iffy. It’s not exactly rockin’ the Canadians world so what to do, what to do? Woo Hoo! Long Form! A slow day in the Crappola-Gate factory.

Yes May the Farce be with you! Iggy-Yoda and his band of Jedi-Journos will fight the forces of evil with their press releases of impending doom. If their phony issues were tissues they would be a double roll of bum-wipe. IMO

Or back in the real world an anointed, aging Professor with some Literary achievments writing novels tours Canada in the forlorn hope that Canadians will elect him and his Liberal Party (Evil Empire) to tax us back to 1932.

If you listen closely you can hear Darth-Mo wheezing in the background. “Whose yer Daddy? Iggy-Yoda

  28. Liz J says:

What a summer of accomplishment so far for Iggy, between hot dog and burger chompin’ and barn smelling he’s let his mind wander way off base, well more than usual, he wants to pardon Louis Riel. Would he like to revise history as well? He thinks Riel’s hanging for treason was the greatest tragedy in our history. WOW.

Someone does need to rein the man in, he’s going all silly. Well maybe not, he’s doing a good job of taking himself down and the party along with him.

  29. wilson says:

Oh Bubba, you are a hoot! Thanks for the laugh.

Liz, he is going all silly.
It’s like he’s on the edge. The stress and pace are too much for him.

  31. Liz J says:

Since Kinsella has aimed his guns inward I’d say the weasel quality in him might be making a bit of mischief and could be behind the Dalty story. To replace Iggy with Dalty would be equally disastrous for the LPC’s chances of getting their keesters in the power seats.

  32. Calgary Junkie says:

On last night’s Michael Coren Show, Coren started with a segment about Iggy. He told about how another interviewer, when sitting with Iggy during the commercial breaks, found that Iggy did not engage in ANY small talk !

Coren said that he’s never had that happen to him before, or heard about any other guest doing it–it was a first, in Coren’s experience.

So there you go folks, Iggy the “common man” refuses, or isn’t able, to chit-chat off air. I guess extended, awkward silences in social settings, is no big deal for the Count.

  33. Bec says:

    CJ said @2:18pm
“He told about how another interviewer, when sitting with Iggy during the commercial breaks, found that Iggy did not engage in ANY small talk !”

That’s because he’s a narcissist, the MAIN EVENT and an obvious SNOB.
What a telling expose that experience has confirmed.

  34. Liz J says:

Geeze, even the Queen engages in small talk, but then again, she does have some experience doing so, as well as an interest in people. Iffy has an attitude to start with, he just doesn’t have the art or know how to come down off his high perch. He’s as awkward among
“The Canadians” as the proverbial bull in a china shop.

Caribana chair Joe Halstead told the Star he was hoping for $300,000 from Celebrate Ontario, run through the province’s ministry of tourism and culture.

This year, the program gave $11 million to festivals in Ontario, including $300,000 each to Toronto festivals North by Northeast (NXNE), Pride, Hot Docs, Luminato, Nuit Blanche and the Toronto Jazz Festival.

But Caribana did not qualify this year, despite receiving $300,000 in 2008.”

  36. MaryT says:

ck, you have things backward, it is those thinking their rights were violated when they had to show ID etc re the protesters, and the media agreeing with them, then think it is ok to ask very personal questions re the census. I would think that most if not all of them have never received the long form or the farm census and are clueless about the questions.
Protesters threatened with jail and fines, several of us that refused to fill out all the form were also threatened with jail and fines.
If you want to fly over the USA, from Canada then be prepared to prove you are not a terrorist in flight. Would you want to take the change of going to Cuba or Australia or somewhere that went over or landed in the USA with a possible bomber on board. It was not conservatives that brought up the census, it was the whiny liberals trying to cover for the failed success of the under the bus tour.
Anything to get attention off of him and his 3 wk tour of Canada to meet The Canadians. Too bad we real Canadians don’t want to meet him.

  37. wilson says:

It costs Ontario taxpayers $5 million to cover the costs of the Eco recyling program for 90 days (because yah all boo hooed The McSlippery Tax).
    http://news.nationalpost.com/2010/07/20/ontario-dropping-eco-fee/

If every man women and child in Ontario paid $1, ONE DOLLAR
    that amounts to $13 million.

So every Ontarian send McSlippery $1 , and you Ontarians have the Eco program costs covered for
    almost 9 months!

    • Joanne says:

So every Ontarian send McSlippery $1 , and you Ontarians have the Eco program costs covered for

Wilson, that seems like a good deal! (Until McSlippery puts the money into ‘general revenues’ as he is known to do – think Health tax.)

  38. terence says:

  39. Bec says:

    terence @ 7:19pm
There is this thing that we do as card carrying Conservative Party members and it’s called, elect our party leader.

Charest will NEVER be the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada as he’s unelectable now outside of Quebec and even that’s questionable.

  40. Liz J says:

Oh ya terence/Terry1/parnel, ever heard of liar, liar, pants on fire? Look in the mirror.

Jean Charest will have to be elected party leader as a first step, he’s got a snowball’s chance in Hades of getting over that first hurdle. He’s already said he has no such aspirations, he won’t be recruited so go off and dream up some more nonsense.

Since you like to spew nonsense, have to say a McGuinty-Charest contest would be a fine match, I think Jack the Dipper would win.

Very openly and clearly he has said he will run for his current job at the next provincial election in 2011.

So tell the war room to get a better story out and one that won’t embarrass you. We have specifically noticed the increase in attacks on Iggy since the bus tour began. He is now quietly and happily visiting people all over the place while the real liars are in panic mode figuring out how they get past this most telling ideology rant and disaster on the census issue.

  43. Lorraine says:

Every member of the Conservative party has one vote and one vote only to select the leader. It would be impossible for any retreaded Liberal -lite PC’er like Charest to EVER get the member’s votes. Period.

  44. terence says:

Likewise with the liberals Lorraine……they have to vote their leader in and McGuinty would not cut it with the membership.

  45. JDot says:

    terence says..

“Charest to replace Harper;first coming in a s a senior cabinet minister and then PM after a convention……….heard that one also.”

LMAO, the voices in your head do not make it so dude..

But let’s entertain this brilliant commentary. So I assume Charest leaves office in disgrace on his magic carbon offsetting green carpet, and somehow gets a open seat to run for the CPC(not likely)

Then knowing Charest is after the PM’s Job, PM Harper picks Charest for a senior portfolio(LOL) Then some how Charest a outsider to the party somehow overthrows the PM(this is getting to funny). Also side stepping all the MP’s and Cabinet minsters in the party now.

Then Charest who has done everything to undermine the CPC, and is a CPC outsider from Quebec gets elected by the party membership to lead.

Terence are you on drugs? or are you really that clueless? Charest will never lead the CPC, ever.

  46. Lorraine says:

Terrance – are you talking about the Federal Liberals???? They DO NOT have one vote for every member for leader!!!!
They have elite delegates who go to conventions and vote for the leaders as a block. That’s how Dion won- Gerard Kennedy’s delegates moved to him instead of Rae and Iggy came in way at the back of the pack.

You must not be a member of the Liberal party if you don’t even know how your “leader” is chosen. Except Ignatieff who was “appointed” by the backroom executive who you also did not have a chance to vote for.

  47. MaryT says:

When the liberals voted for a leader they chose Dion, iggy was never elected as leader.
And that shirt is pretty wrinkled, like he has been taking his naps in it. How many days in a row did he wear it.
We don’t have to try to embarrass the lib leader by default, he and his handlers are doing it all by themselves.

  48. MaryT says:

I suppose it was our side that held up a scarf or whatever it is with his name on it, backward, or didn’t know to put on a baseball cap. And it was not our side that brought Starbucks coffee onto the bus, after stopping at Tims. Terrance, perhaps you should tell your side to smarten up, unless they are doing this to deliberately make iggy look like a fool
What did he talk about in Sask, the CWB, or why he will not vote to abolish the gun registry, no he thinks it is time to pardon Riel.

  50. Ontario Liberals are flush with money and power, if he went to the Federal Liberals it would be giving up the Cadillac for the smart car.

  51. terence says:

Maybe I should show the infamous picture of Harpo in 2005 with his black cowboy hat looking like the dweeb he is. that picture is being used for Liberal fund raisers and getting good results for the party.

In terms of the Charest rumour; it is as stupid as the McGuinty rumour you all are getting excited over. Thanks for letting me prove my point once again that blogging Tories are [portion removed by blog admin].

  52. terence says:

Speaking of Mcguinty..he is showing the way for harper to be popular but he won’t follow that receipe for success snd McGuinty will easily get reeelected while Harper goes back to the NCC:

“It is perhaps a lesson that Mr. Harper’s government would do well to learn. The census controversy could be a deliberate attempt to throw some red meat to a Conservative base upset at the $1-billion security costs from the G20. But it seems to have exploded into a far bigger issue than the government brain trust had anticipated and is now dominating its issues-management agenda. Sometimes you just have to know when to fold ’em.”

For those who wish to complete the long-form census, no one is going to stop you. Canadians will have a choice to do so, or not.

Why is choice such a hard concept for some to grasp?

Actually, in the day and age of new technology why aren’t we doing away with the paper census and allowing another choice of doing it on-line?

I do believe this is another one of those scandals of the month issues media turn to when there really isn’t anything pressing of a national issue to share with readers.

Over the last few days the Waffle tour has moved in the major paper I get to the spot just ahead of the obits. – I’ve got to tell you that whole image of The Waffle tucking his shirts into his underwear is very funny – I think a great mystery has been solved. We now are a bit closer to understanding why Iggy makes those unusual faces when he speaks. Just for fun try tucking the top you’re wearing now into your jeans, shorts or whatever you’re wearing and see how it feels.
    Up tight or what!

    cross posted at Sandy’s.
Welcome back. I don’t think those opposed to cancellation of the mandatory form have any idea of what they are supporting.
Jail those that don’t fill it out but give probation to a mother who kills her daughter.
Get very upset because you have to show ID and are detained for acting like a terrorist, and demand an inquiry, but throw someone in jail because they don’t want to tell where or how they go to work, where or when they went to school years ago, or how much money they make or have invested in whatever.
If the census is voluntary or mandatory I agree, send it to all media and liberals/ndpers.
Might be interesting to see how many of them are married, living common law or in a SSM relationship. Especially if any of them have connections to the liberal party honchos.
And how about ethnic origin when Canadian was not accepted years ago.
If it is received in this house the answers to all personal questions will be,
NOYDB-none of your dam business. And if threatened with jail or a fine like last time, go for it.
Most of us just shrugged it off and ignored the threats, not the next time, we will go public, record telephone calls and probably take some pictures of the census takers. And then post it all on the blogs.

Richo @ 10:24 am, you’re onto something there, I would guess Iggy could on occasion give himself a few good wedgies tucking his shirt into his briefs and his facial expressions are proof of it.

  63. Richco says:

hey check this out http://www.liberal.ca/blog – watch the video here as some poor children sent to camp welcome The Waffle. I thought that Camp Couchaching(sp) was in Orillia? I wonder who the kid is who got in Iggy’s canoe?

If I were a Conservative parent paying for my kid to go to this camp I’d be a bit ticked at the Liberal indoctrination.

(I really don’t want to promote the Liberal bus tour, but you do hear Ignatieff say that they will visit all 10 provinces and the territories – that’s what he promised those kids. Will he deliver?)

Oh and don’t forget to check the Waffle tour odometer clocking the miles Iggy’s supposedly have covered. Like all things we can depend on a likely inflation happening on that front too.

LPOC looking for “new blood” or yellow dogs.

Sometimes the Liberals just write their own attack ads don’t they?

Here’s an interesting snap back at Kinsella from this blogger on how to win against the big and much better Tory machine “I think it’s time for the grassroots to reintroduce the Darwinian theory back into Liberal politics. What I mean by that is that we have all sorts of MPs who are in ridings that we would win even if we ran a yellow dog. There is no evolutionary process to weed out the weak. Perhaps you were strong years ago when you won the nomination but as time has aged we’re left with a bunch of dead wood like Dan McTeague.” http://forliberaljustice.blogspot.com/2010/07/kinsella.html

  65. Liz J says:

The Liberals are all for the mandatory long census forms because the Conservatives are not, case closed. If anyone wants information on any Canadian census for a legitimate reason they can obtain it. If we need to provide personal info for a job or something else we can give it as needed.

Listening to the likes of Federal MP David McGuinty, McLiar’s little brother today on CFRA Lunch Bunch was barf inducing.

  66. MaryT says:

Don’t laugh re the dog comment. My son and friends did this years ago, entered a dog in a nomination contest. It was a St Bernard and they filed papers for Bernard Saint. Guy never appeared in person, but with the support he got they finally had to put out a notice he would appear in the local parade, and he did. They actually got some donations to the campaign which they gave to the local hospital as no one wanted to admit they donated, to get their money back. That was back in Social Credit days.
I agree with WK that until a lot of the old entitlement gang are gone, doesn’t matter who the leader is. Days of the coattail getting you in are long gone.

  67. MaryT says:

So the head of Stats Canada is thinking of quitting because the govt will no longer threaten jail or fines for not completing the census. That is really the only change involved, not mandatory, and no threats. What is the big problem. But the liberals like to put people in jail for selling their own wheat or not registering a gun. But they hate it when real criminals are put in jail. Why, they can still vote liberal.
The long form is still going out to Canadians.

Terence, you got your wish. You’re banned.

It’s just the scandal-du-jour MaryT they just have to deflect attention from the Iggy no excitement tour. Looking at those pictures on their site of the rally at the lake there are around 50 people in the picture 4 or 5 are taking pictures.

He sure ain’t packing them in whining about the census or anything else. I would love to attend one of his rallies and ask him for an apology and his resignation over his statements of the past year Re our brave Troops.

If his Iggyness wants to pull up his underwear an inch or two I would like to know his position on Bill # C-428 giving pensions to Immigrants that have never even worked in this country. Wouldn’t be about buying votes would it? Mr Ignatieff? ……crickets

Liberals are just so darn generous with my tax dollars

Glad to hear that, Joanne 6.05p.m.

  71. No need to defend your blog comment policy. It is one of the best blogs with limited pollution. Discourse should be encouraged, but Parnel is not interested in debate or an exchange of ideas.

The Census long form has not been discontinued, it is going to be voluntary, decriminalized and an increase to 1/3 from 1/5 to reflect the change.

This pattern is familiar, let the media and opposition foam at the mouth for a few weeks while something else more controversial is coming down the pipe.

H1N1(body bags, supplier), Torch Relay, Prorogue, changing the National Anthem.

What Free Trade Deal, Carbon Pricing is currently underway?

Canadian Sense – Thanks and that’s right. And it didn’t take very long to smoke out Parnel from under his new pseudonym.

Well, I had “terence” pegged from his first postings here, no matter how hard he tries to cover it, his personality shines through.

Where’s the Queen of condescension “Gayle”, has she been banned from more sites?

  73. She may be in hiding after the G20 photos, or the realization the Liberal Express like most of her empty tirades is D.O.A.?

“Liberal” is a case in point. On this page last year, the writer Timothy Garton Ash called for liberalism to reclaim its traditional meaning as “liberty under law, limited and accountable government, markets, tolerance, some version of individualism and universalism, and some notion of human equality, reason and progress.”

    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/21/opinion/21mcwhorter.html

Do the Liberals or the progressives represent any remotely associated with markets, reason, limited and accountable government?

Liberals, Central Planners, Census takers are demanding we keep the threat of jail for refusal to tell us how the housework is divided in your household?

Putin, Castro, Imadinnerjacket must love these useful idiots in Western democracies.

Gordon C, I think you are about to be deleted. If you are new to blogging then perhaps you have made a mistake but if you are old to blogging, you have made some serious allegations that are certainly not welcome at this blog nor does the hostess need to deal with an issue created by an ill-informed poster.

In fact, your comments reach beyond the term, offensive.

    Bec, agree 100%.
