I admit this isn’t the most charitable way to resume the post-Christmas blogging season, but Premiers McGuinty and Charest really need to be excoriated on their Copenhagen performance.
We’ve already singled out Dalton McGuinty in a previous post, but he deserves another needling along with his opportunistic Quebec sidekick.
Lorrie Goldstein pilloried them both in his Dec. 27 column – The Climate Blame Game. First of all Lorrie works from the premise that climate change negotiations have more to do with laying blame than actually trying to resolve a problem:
…Laying blame — elsewhere — is vital to politicians when confronting (a) a “problem” they don’t really think is a problem, but their voters do (b) a problem they know they can’t fix or (c) a problem whose solution, even assuming it works, would require sacrifices from people that people are unwilling to make.
All of these are relevant in the current climate of hysteria about global warming.
Blaming someone else is also important to politicians because, for all their grandiose rhetoric, they don’t think in terms of “saving the planet.” They think of successfully managing their own political careers, and, at least in most democracies, of four-year election cycles at best…
Then he goes after McGuinty and Charest:
…But since it’s important for politicians to appear to be concerned about “saving the planet”, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and Quebec Premier Jean Charest blamed Prime Minister Stephen Harper for not showing enough leadership, while they and their seconds blamed Alberta for the oilsands.
Aside from throwing a hand grenade into Confederation, the hypocrisy of these two is breathtaking.
If McGuinty wants to “save the planet” from global warming, he should shut down Ontario’s coal-fired energy plants — a promise he has repeatedly broken — plus board up Ontario’s auto sector, which he and the feds just spent billions of tax dollars saving.
If Charest wants to “save the planet” he should stop subsidizing cheap electricity for Quebec consumers and sell more hydro power to the U.S,, so the Americans won’t have to burn as much dirty coal, as advocated by Laval University economists Jean-Thomas Bernard and Jean-Yves Duclos…
Charest’s outburst was indeed full of political posturing and lack of loyalty to his own country (H/T Back Off Government). [More at BC Blue]
Now before any liberal trolls try countering that criticism with this tripe, please check out BC Blue’s response which underscores that even the Liberal premiers of Ontario and Quebec appear to be aware of the weakness of Her Majesty’s Official Opposition. Apparently they feel the need to step into the vacuum.
Angelo Persichilli also shines a spotlight on the hypocrisy of those who blame the source of the ‘dirty energy’ while still using it themselves:
…The environment is not polluted by the people who extract oil from the tar sands, but by the people who use that oil. We don’t want to give up our cars, we refuse to lower our air conditioning and home heating, and we don’t want to give up our air flights, the most serious air polluters of our skies. Nobody wants to tell us that the cost of production will go up during the transition – in many cases destroying industries forever or lowering our salaries to remain competitive…
Exactly. Back Off Government sees a parallel to the Little Red Hen. Not only do Charest and McGuinty need that ‘dirty oil’ for power (especially in the case of Ontario’s auto industry), but they also rely on Alberta for wealth transfer in the form of equalization payments. Actually a more apt fable may be the story of the Goose that Laid the Golden Egg.
And all this would still be remotely acceptable if the science was settled – which it isn’t.
As Mark Steyn recently pointed out, climate change is more of a substitute religion and money-making scheme than a serious effort to reduce man-made global warming – if indeed it does exist (Why climate change is hot hot hot):
…When man was made in the image of God, he was fallen but redeemable. Gaia’s psychologically unhealthy progeny are merely irredeemable. Anti-humanism is everywhere, not least in the barely concealed admiration for China’s (demographically disastrous) “One Child” policy advanced by everyone from the National Post’s Diane Francis to Sir David Attenborough, the world’s leading telly naturalist but also a BBC exec who once long ago commissioned the great series The Ascent of Man. If Sir David’s any guide, the great thing about man’s ascent is it gives him a higher cliff to nosedive off.
Very few sciences could survive being embraced as a religion. Imagine the kind of engineering or math you’d get if it also had to function as a “faith tradition.” What’s also changed since the seventies is the nature of the UN and the transnational bureaucracies. Once it became obvious that “climate change” represents an almost boundless shakedown of functioning jurisdictions by dysfunctional basket cases, the die was cast. “Aid” is a discredited word these days and comes with too many strings attached. But eco-credits sluiced through an oil-for-food program on steroids offers splendid new opportunities for bulking up an ambitious dictator’s Swiss bank accounts…
And so we are left with two eastern Liberal premiers who obviously think that the path to their promised political land lies in efforts to humiliate our beloved country and stir up talk of western separation. The reason for their scorn has little scientific basis. It’s all about what they perceive to be the populist response to the flavour-of-the-month cause that could actually cause our country great harm in so many ways.
Let’s show them how off-track they really are in the next Quebec and Ontario elections.

Related: “Mr Premier, are you ready to see me? Are you ready?” – ChuckerCanuk. I missed that one just before Christmas but L. Ian MacDonald’s column is really worth checking out. And frankly it’s rather frightening how easily President Obama appears to have been manipulated.

You are back in fine form, Joanne…..EXCELLENT post!
As I mentioned a week or so ago – for McGinty to make the comment about provinces whose economies are built around taking stuff out of the ground needing to think about what they are doing to the environment; made me laugh.
Does he know what cars are made of? Does he realize the amount of natural resources that are mined in his province?
And people think Steady Eddy is a dolt?
Very interesting reading what REALLY happened at Copenhagen, because listening to the fawning media, I got the impression that the Big O saved the day… and that Stephen Harper destroyed it?
I wonder when the media is going to wake up to the fact that Obama is out of his league.
Thanks AG! Not sure how often I’ll be posting over the next week but I did feel the need to write that one.
There is so much nauseating garbage being spewed from the other side and it needs to be corrected.
For example, if anyone would care to set this letter-writer straight, you can respond here.
What a terrific post Joanne!
I have to say that the PM’s response to Fife and Robertson in his year-end interview left no doubt in anyone’s mind who was in charge and who spoke for Canadians at Copenhagen and it wasn’t either Charest or McGuinty.
Remembering that our PM is likely many steps ahead of the McGuinty/Charest Liberal tag-team, and that with a belt-tightening ahead for all governments local, regional and federal it will be fun watching McGuinty and Charest go down in flames one way or another.
The only thing Dalton McGuinty’s government deserves is a swift kick out the door asap.
Alberta Girl – the more I see of Obama the less impressed I become(I wasn’t too impressed in the first place). In Copenhagen what the “big O” did was follow Harper’s lead.
When ever I read that moniker “the Big O” I automatically think of two things: the Olympic Stadium in Montreal(money-sucking pit) and a toilet bowl. Kind of appropriate, no?
The letter you link to Joanne,is so typical of GW Wackos, using the tired old rhetorical line about concern for grandchildren and great grandchildren. To say 99 percent of the world’s scientists are in agreement on the fact we are destroying our environment is an example of the total crap that’s being put out there from the gang who continue to sip Gore’s Kool-Aid.
Haven’t got the stomach to get started on Dolty McGuinty, he’s a colossal failure, should be driven out of office before he does more damage but we’d need to dig for some obscure way to get it done. Charest is another lost cause, playing to his Quebec base, not common sense or decency as part of the Canadian fabric.
CPAC showed PM Harper’s Far East trip last evening, he really did accomplish a lot and everywhere he went the people seemed interested in meeting him. It was all too positive for our mainstream muddifiers, all we hear from them is how he was reprimanded for not getting to China sooner, which was a stretch of the matter.
General note:
I don’t want this thread to degenerate into an Obama-bashing free for all. I feel uncomfortable about that for various reasons. One of the main ones is that it is in our best interests that he makes wise decisions regarding issues that directly affect our country. For that to happen we need to maintain a certain level of bi-lateral respect.
If and when Obama makes decisions that seem weak or worrisome, let’s point it out in as constructive a way as possible. Thanks.
On the other hand, it’s difficult to put a positive spin on this. All I can say is that the U.S. is no longer #1.
I’d like to know, why no credible journalist has confronted Dolton,or Charest on where their prov.would be if not for all the so-called ‘dirty oil’ money that has saved their sorry asses during not just the recession, but for yrs!Where does Que.get all the $$ for their cheap daycare, schooling etc? I would love to see that spigot shut off for just 6 months…can you just imagine the howls of outrage from Charest,Duceppe,Dolton and that other loon Miller?? None of these idiots are held to acc’t for their irrational statements, and who in the G&M,or the Torstar has the guts to ask some hard,or realistic questions? There seems to be fewer and fewer good reasons for the West to stay!
I admit this isn’t the most charitable way to resume the post-Christmas blogging season, but Premiers McGuinty and Charest really need to be excoriated on their Copenhagen performance.
I disagree because you did NOT take cheap shots for political or personal gain. You post reflects your values and beliefs.
Thank you.
“If you think you are too small to make an impact, try sleeping in a room with a few mosquitoes. ” –West African proverb
I did take the opportunity to write to the Record and Frank Glew. I don’t know if it will be published so I am copying it here because he PISSED me off!!!
“So Frank Glew thinks the world is ending in his letter to the editor.
I remember when the world was ending in the 70′s when David Suzuki was pontificating that the ice age was coming, using the same data he uses now to prove Global Warming.
I remember when the world was ending in the 80′s due to acid rain.
I remember when the world was ending in the 90′s due to the hole in ozone layer.
And now it is ending due to “global warming”.
The problem with believing ‘scientific evidence’ is that that ‘evidence’ depends on who is doing the research.
There are many, many, many scientists who dispute that man is affecting the climate – they say climate is cyclical, that the sun plays a major role in our climate.
Yet Frank Glew would call them ‘deniers’ because they don’t ‘belive’. As a critical thinking person, I would ask, why not believe them.
So I would say to Frank, and all the other ‘believers’ out there; Stephen Harper did the right thing not to sell out our country.
Being a good steward of our environment; our water and our air, is the right thing to do, but to think that paying money to third world countries is somehow going to assauge the guilt for heating our homes, or driving to our jobs in -20 weather is plain silly.
And another point about the ‘tar’ sands. That is Frank Glew’s way of denigrating the very think that has driven the economy of this country.
I wonder if Frank Glew knows that the oil in those sands is a natural resource, much like the uranium that is mined in his province, or the steel that makes the cars in his province, or the power that is driven by the water in his province.
I wonder if Frank Glew realizes that Alberta and the “Tar” Sands industries are the leaders in environmental policies and development in this country.
I would ask him what he and his province are doing as he points the finger at Canada’s whipping boy, Alberta and Canada’s prime minister whose greatest crime is that he hails from the west. ”
Grrrrr. people like Frank Glew make me sick.
Americans understand that the President speaks for the US in international relations. One did not see governors and mayors undermining Obama’s message at Copenhagen, though the mayor of NYC was present. Only in Canada do we have provincial blowhards like Miller, McGuinty and Charest badmouthing the ferderal position. McGuinty and Miller are lame duck officials without hope of reelection. AS for Charest, he hopes to strengthen his ratings by picking a spat with the Canadian government. All said a crude, local, political performance, on the world stage.
That was a great letter Alberta Girl!
I’m curious as to what you’re referring to by “Obama-bashing free for all” Joanne?
“The Big O” means a few things in slang, and actually the Big “O”, the Montreal Olympic Stadium was once referred to as a “very expensive toilet seat”.
That’s where I’m coming from in my post. No bashing there whatsoever.
I also remember a company that produced toilet seats having a “Big O” as their logo.
Let’s not confuse any type of “bashing” of anyone with asking for accountability. It’s something teacher unions have honed to an art.
Time to give all those who are embarassed to be Canadian a one way ticket to a very great country, like Iran or Yemen, or some African nation.
And maybe deny them any benefits of being Canadian, like OAS, CTC, gst rebates, a job in any Canadian industry that causes ghg.
These guys are just embarassed, but I bet they enjoy all our benefits and would be upset if they had to give any of them up.
OT, with all the power outages I hope those affected are taking credit for reducing their carbon footprint.
This just about sums up my thoughts the glut of hype and hypocrisy surrounding the environmental issue.
“If you’re not part of the solution, there’s good money to be made in prolonging the problem”
read that at despair.com – scroll through some of the “demotivators” at this site which takes a different look at things.
O/T – Hatrock’s Cove has a really good post up comparing the year-end interviews of the PM and The Waffle on how many times the PM used the word “we” vs Iffy’s usual overuse of the word “I”.
I watched some of the Waffle’s interview and just can’t imagine taking a class from this man – I’d be counting ceiling tiles or asleep. Talk about using a lot of words to say absolutely nothing at all. I couldn’t watch the whole thing.
O/T – Calgary Grit has a fabulous year end review photo gallery of the PM in action. I’m pretty sure we’ve discussed some killer money shots of Mr. Harper here too…many times. Compare any of those shots with, well….the other guy. No contest!!
Thanks Grit.
Here’s my letter:
I wish I could be more like Frank Glew.
He cares so much about our planet that he undoubtedly walks to work. He wouldn’t be biking since bikes are mass-produced and run on those nasty rubber tires.
He must be loved down at the farmers market where he buys all of his food while forgiving those same farmers their collective sin of not bringing their food to market on their backs.
I admire the fact (I’m assuming here) that he doesn’t watch TV or go to the movies since these activities all involve mass production requiring substantial hydrocarbon usage. Does he play board game? Oops, no board games either.
Does he live in a tent heated with wood?
I think you get my point.
Global warming is nothing more than a wealth transfer scheme designed to get our money into the hands of Third-World despots who will then use it to finance shopping sprees in Hong Kong like the one Mrs. Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe likes to go on even though her country is beyond impoverished and inflation is way out of control. Or maybe they”ll use it to fight their dirty little wars.
Oh that was one sweet letter, Neil D!
Excellent letter NeilD – I wonder if they will get printed?
Great post Joanne!! it is time for the national Press Gallery to hold Ontario and Quebec accountable for their anti Canadian behavior in Copenhagen. I say a big Thankyou to Lorrie Goldstein for his voice of reason.
It is nice to read sensible comments from true Canadians who post comments here and at Blogging Tories.
Well said Alberta Girl!
I’m curious as to what you’re referring to by “Obama-bashing free for all” Joanne?
It was a preemptive measure, Richco.
don’t hold your breath for the PPG to hang Dalton or Charest out to dry. Why would they? Those two help respective papers and TV shows rake in the viewers and by association benefit monetarily from viewer and listening patronage.
re: preemptive measure – ok
Copenhagen for most Canadians isn’t even on the radar today.
If there’s any doubt at all that eventually the PM will make Dalton and Jean pay for their “loyalty” remember who’s holding the cards these days.
So the central Canadian premiers beaked off at Copenhagen. These two twits carry about as much weight in the rest of Canada as Obama does in the world. I assume their drivel was for domestic consumption only because out in the real world their bleating is greeted with a huge yawn. Upon hearing their brain f**ts I realized Iffy got his Christmas Goose early this year. Talk about undermining the OLO and a Liberal one at that!
How quickly Charest went from being “Captain Canada” to “Dr. Kevorkian”.
Sorry Jean, we in the ROC will take a pass on that Green Kool-Aid.
Great post, Joanne!
I’m thinking Charest is lining himself up to run for the Liberals federally, as leader. There’s not one chromosome of him that is conservative anymore.
Watch for it….
AGW’s gonna get ya.
Stay off the streets.

“Cold weather alert for GTA tonight
Toronto Star – Joana Draghici – 39 minutes ago
With Environment Canada predicting the coldest night in Toronto so far this winter, the city is calling an extreme weather alert and providing additional support services to help the homeless find shelter from the cold.”
Soccermom – if Charest looking to be Liberal leader that would be a huge boost for Harper in my opinion. That the LPOC could pick another dud leader wouldn’t compare to the outrage at it being another Quebecer.
Oh, and I’m betting that Ontario sees clips of “Dalton Does Copenhagen” in his campaign clips so that he can prove to Ontario voters he’s serious this time about the environment and means to keep his promises if elected to a third mandate.
Where was the Ontario PC re: calling Dalton on his hypocrisy? I don’t recall.
maz2 – it’s been snowing hard in my part of Ontario all day so far AND we’ve had Thunder Snow here too this afternoon. Very neat except it’s making the puppy very nervous.
La Presse editorialist André Pratte wrote an interesting op-ed regarding Charest in Copenhagen. Here it is, as translated by Norman Spector in the G&M:
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/blogs/spector-vision/why-jean-charest-blew-his-smoke-stack/article1409857/
“In Copenhagen, the government of Québec demonstrated a detestable arrogance. Prime Minister Jean Charest used every occasion to vaunt the record of his government on climate change. He was even indulged by environmental groups who gave him a prize.
The government and many Québécois in turn are proud of Québec’s relatively good record in reducing its carbon emissions. But what credit are we due? None. What sacrifices have we made? Nada.
Our record is essentially the result of our electricity. We were given this resource, water, by fate. We did not choose hydro power for environmental reasons but because it was the source of abundant energy that we possessed. If Alberta had the same hydro potential, they would done the same.
In one area, we could have acted concretely to do our part in reducing emissions – road transportation. How have we demonstrated our ecological concerns?
Today, there are 390 000 more passenger vehicles than there were five years ago. Since 1990, emissions from road transportation have increased by 37 per cent.
The Charest government can boast about having imposed a carbon tax, except that it has had no significant effect on the price of gas or diesel. If M. Charest had the courage that he demands of his federal counterpart, he would significantly increase the level of this green tax so that it would reduce consumption. What’s he waiting for?
Québec is pressing Ottawa to adopt more stringent targets. Concretely, this means requiring the producing provinces to put a brake on their production. But what is Québec doing right now? It’s closely examining the possibility of developing potential oil and gas supplies on its territory. What would M. Charest say if Stephen Harper ordered him to cease this work in the name of the future of the planet. Certainly, Alberta must do more to encourage clean development of its oil. Also, the government of Canada must show leadership in this task, something the Conservatives seem incapable of doing.
For its part, the government of Québec must ensure that federal policy does not damage Quebec’s economy. Aside from that, it should stop giving lessons to others and deal with our own significant environmental problems.”
BTW, Joanne, I agree with your POV re: Obama: “One of the main ones is that it is in our best interests that he makes wise decisions regarding issues that directly affect our country. For that to happen we need to maintain a certain level of bi-lateral respect …”
And both Alberta Girl’s and NeilD’s letters to the editor were indeed great.
O/T – it’s really a shame that in Dalton’s Ontario something as symbolic as the Olympic Torch run had to be ruined today as a 19 year old protestor pushed the torch runner to the ground. Not clear what the protestor was protesting but what the hell’s wrong with people?
“bi-lateral respect” is one thing but being honest and telling it like it is, which is that the US President was less than his stellar self and yes, China outgunned him. That Obama followed Harper’s lead has been under-played, but Harper drew very little attention which I thought was a smart move to keep a low-profile at this non-event.
Gabby – that Globe piece says it all and very well too!
Anyone catch O’s response to the act of war (as a Rebublican member of the security committee called it). It was just an isolated incident.
Maybe O believes that, as his teleprompter told him so, but most of the non media types don’t believe it.
He had lots of help, and apprently there are 25 muslims just waiting for orders.
Stay away from crowds on new years eve.
OT, but I wonder what the mother of that 19 yr old girl (coward) thinks of her daughter pushing a torch bearer. She has been arrested and I hope she is put in jail for a long time. I, for one, have had enough of these idiot protesters thinking they have some rights to disrupt anything and everything. They were idiots in Copenhagen, and it is time to treat them as terrorists.
Let me be the FIRST to acknowledge the sheer genius of the TITLE on this post.
“Hypogrits”, clearly establishes that our girl Joanne is back and in the finest form!
Wonderful post…..and the comments, outstanding.
With what these 2 Premiers have allowed to occur by the transferring of their thoughtless brain transmissions to exit out of their mouths, we are very fortunate to have the PM that we do because knowing how angry Albertans are over this, the country needs a gifted negotiator to avoid a very real and emotional constitutional crisis.
Let me be the FIRST to acknowledge the sheer genius of the TITLE on this post. “Hypogrits”, clearly establishes that our girl Joanne is back and in the finest form!
Heh. Thanks Bec! I appreciate that.
I have considerable respect for the office that Charest holds (and the one that McGuinty holds, for that matter), but I used to have a great deal of personal respect for the Quebec Premier. Not so much any more.
Are you saying that you want to murder baby polar bears?
Marx, it’s time for you to come clean and ‘fess up as to who you really are.
Good stuff, Joanne!
Charest is a simple twit, always has been. That became crystal clear when he attacked Preston Manning as a “bigot”, and nothing has changed since.
Probably just frustrated because he knows that by the time many years from now when Harper hangs ‘em up for good, Charest’s chances of being PM will be long past, and he’ll be just an old has-been that never was…right along with lots of other Liberal wannabes.
Heh!
Speaking of O.

“At Belmont Club, under Spin versus spool post by Wretchard:
80. NahnCee:
You do realize that you’re expecting the same people who have been tracking weather the last 20 years and reporting fur shur global warming is happening to get it together to successfully track bad guys? Surely bad guys are just as erratic as the weather. If they have a blindered mind-set that there *is* global warming, what sort of blindered mind-set do you suppose these geniuses will have on whether or not Abdul is a terrorist?
Dec 28, 2009 – 6:01 pm
Folks, as I suggested in my last post, it is time for we adults (that is, those who have finally shucked off the adult suppression programming wrought by our rotting institutions) to come up with words that will help our neighbors better understand what their government has morphed into.”
http://pascalfervor.blogspot.com/2009/12/quote-of-day.html
Every once in a while Bionic Liberal has some really funny stuff up, like the most recent
“A Little Ativan and He’s Good To Ho-Ho-Ho” based on The Waffle’s official Christmas message. Just why Iffy thinks we need to hear from him is a mystery to me.
Charest is a simple twit, always has been. That became crystal clear when he attacked Preston Manning as a “bigot”, and nothing has changed since.
Springer – if you’re referring to Charest’s reaction to the 1997 Reform Party election ad that, in effect said “No more leaders from Quebec,” while featuring pictures of Charest, Chretien and two separatists, then I must respectfully disagree with you. And, I’m not the only Albertan (I was a PC supporter back then) who didn’t like that ad. Many died-in-the-wool Reform Party supporters, including my sister, found that ad very distasteful. If anyone thought it was okay, imagine your reaction to a Liberal ad, playing east of Manitoba, saying, in effect, “No more leaders from the West.”
The premiers had no damn business in Copenhagen. The Canadian government speaks for Canada. Charest & McGuinty should just plain “shut up”!! The hypocrisy coming from their mouths is sickening.
Our prime minister is on a much higher plane than those two premiers. Why is it we are unable to produce high caliber leaders at the provincial level, especially in Quebec and Ontario??
Charest got into trouble when he was a Conservative, never liked him since. He’s a junior in every sense of the word. In Canada, he’s a Canadian. In Quebec, he’s a quebecois. I think you call that two-faced.
This is not the first time he has attacked PM Harper and the Canadian government. The way he has conducted himself says a lot about his character. No, he just doesn’t have it.
As for the environment, which I noted months ago, what has Quebec actually done? I live in Quebec and I’d like to know what we have done. It’s hilarious, I haven’t a clue because I haven’t seen, experienced or heard anything on that issue. Another farce.
André Pratte is right on when he says Quebec is blessed with natural resources, – hydro power. Nature has provided us with the opportunity to develop clean energy, – electricity.
Also, as Gabby reported, André Pratte stated that “Also, the government of Canada must show leadership in this task, something the Conservatives seem incapable of doing.”
Pratte slipped the above statement into his commentary which I do not agree with. The Conservatives are doing very well with the environment issue, thank you. They are being sensible and forward thinking by contemplating the various factors at work including the economy.
I still believe that man-made global warming is a farce. CO2 rises after the temperatures have risen, not vice versa. Sunspot activity plays a major role when it comes to our climate. The term “climate change” is a joke in the sense that the climate is always changing, always has and always will.
Maz2, that was quite an insightful comment at Belmont Club!
Of course Charest is playing first and foremost Quebec politics, they’re still mourning the death of the cash cow called Kyoto which they stood to cash in on with their clean energy.
Perhaps Charest should make an attempt to research the fact his province remains in have-not status in spite of being rich in natural resources. While he’s at it he should remember it’s never wise to bite the hands that feed you. We can be sure Charest will be the first in line for hand-outs on any projects, environmental or otherwise from that handy ROC money tree heavily fertilized by the Oil Sands Project. The only tool he can’t use is a threat to separate, that’s being taken care of by the Blocquistas. Our Federal government has to deal with the spoils of the internal struggle as they play off each other.
Did Obama have any State Governors interfering with his message in Copenhagen?
Who could ever have imagined we’d be trying to run interference with Mother Nature and expect to come out the winner? Judging by the winter we’re having in these parts, global warming hasn’t taken effect, the climate is doing it’s thing, changing with the seasons with colder days, warmer days, wet days, dry spells, the beat goes on as the sun still rises and sets.
“Just why Iffy thinks we need to hear from him is a mystery to me.”
I guess all the party leaders issued Christmas messages, even Jack. It’s interesting to note that while the CPC and the NDP give prominence to the Christmas message, the Liberals tuck the video of Ignatieff way down in the bottom corner as if they were ashamed of it.
