I wanted to show you what arrived in my mailbox. It seems I must have posted somewhere to have a liberal think I am liberal. Oh well… this is the information they want embedded in the minds of voters…can you believe it… out and out exaggerations and lies….

Issue:

Why Stéphane Dion and the Liberal Party of Canada deserve our vote.
Key Messages:
•
The Liberal Party is the only party offering Canadians the combination of a strong record of economic management, a strong team of experienced men and women ready to take action on day one, and a strong plan to tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow.
•
Stephen Harper has failed Canadians.
•
He has failed the 200,000 families in across Canada who have lost good, full-time jobs.
•
He has failed the families waiting for a child care space.
•
He has failed the growing number of people concerned about the climate change crisis and the millions of Canadians watching our retirement savings lose value in the global financial crisis.
•
He has no plan to help Canadians deal with the challenges we face.
•
To hardworking families struggling to make ends meet, Harper’s response is: look for bargains in the falling stock market.
•
After sitting on their hands for months, the Conservatives are now panicking and grasping at straws.
•
Canadians deserve better. We deserve a government that cares about them, that will take action to make Canada stronger.
•
In their first 30 days of government the Liberals will invest significantly in the manufacturing sector and infrastructure projects to boost job creation.
•
They will also bring together the heads of Canada’s banks and regulatory bodies, the provinces and territories so the government can take a united approach to the financial crisis and safeguard our savings.

The Liberal Action Plan will cut our taxes, and greenhouse gases.

It will help recruit more doctors and nurses and make our universities more accessible.

It is not too late to counter this…I hope.

We all know what Dion said . Does anyone know what Steven Harper said that is so bad?!

I don’t have time to fisk this…and maybe it’s not worth it…
So far Duffy has taken a hit for ‘reporting’, now PMSH, whose left..oh yeah..
It’s Kate’s fault that Dion couldn’t answer the question!!

Wonderful, since Dion and Layton “care” and “feel my pain” and are “in touch” blah, blah blah, is it fair to assume that if I lose my job or my pension fund evaporates due to their thoroughly discredited economic hocus pocus that they will personally show up at my home to share a group hug and sing “kumbayah”? Not bl##@y likely! Give me the hard-nosed economist who’s going to give me the best chance of maintaining the integrity of the financial system any day. I’ll get my hugs from my dog.

Attention journalists:

Is any newsperson other than Greg Weston curious about the fact that it appears a prospective PM, leader on the world stage, and head of our state,

fakes disabilities,

when in a bind?

Isn’t that sort of an instant disqualifier, for literally any position of responsibility, let alone the job of running our country???

Isn’t this something every man and woman in this country would want to know about when making their decision on Tuesday?

Dion’s campaign claimed hearing problems as the cause:

it was a sound proof studio, and the questioner was sitting two feet away from him. He would have to be legally deaf not to have heard the question, and as far as I can tell, Dion has never been diagnosed with a hearing disorder, let alone one severe enough to justify not hearing a lone individual in a sound proof studio.

I guess we should keep looking for five year old speeches Harper gave.

Now THAT would be important “revealing” headline grabbing news.

Perhaps they couldn’t find any reasons to print as to why people should support the Liberals and instead focused on why not the Conservatives. Hardly an endorsement. But then, I admit to not reading the article. I avoid the Star like the plague!
