More Liberal Arrogance
Stephane Dion in Saskatchewan (H/T National Newswatch):
"What the Conservative government has done to this economy especially is very wrong. Each time the Conservatives are in power they destroy what we Liberals have built," Dion told reporters in Regina. "We need to be back for Canadians, and we need to convince them about that. It will be a fight, hour after hour, day after day and I will have a great team to win it."
Translation: You stupid, moronic Canadians don’t realize that we are your only hope. But don’t worry. We will beat you over the head until you finally get it.

Update : According to Roger Smith on MDL, changes are being planned to the Green Shift.
Don Martin - Step one for Dion is to get his own MPs onside - Post.

“What the Conservative government has done to this economy especially is very wrong. Each time the Conservatives are in power they destroy what we Liberals have built.”
And yet, every step of the way, you’ve either voted with the Tory government and thus supported those initiatives, or you abondoned your Party’s so-called principles and either ran away, or sat down to avoid an election you could not win or afford.
You have NO credibility when it comes to these issues.
In short, shut-up Mr. Dion, you hypocritical blowhard.

Thanks for the tip, Sammy. Link here. His questions are great:
Kenney suggested Dion must answer the following five questions, if Canadians are to fully understand his Green Shift plan:
* Why some senior Liberals continue to say the carbon tax plan is not yet finished?
* Why there doesn’t seem to be widespread support for the plan among the Liberal caucus?
* Why there are reports that Dion has offered some provinces special deals to cushion the impact of the plan?
* Why Liberals in Atlantic Canada neglected to discuss the plan at their summer retreat?
* Why Dion’s stance appears to contradict that of B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell, who says he was offered a side deal to protect residents of the province from the impact of the plan?

Comments following that CTV link are great, BTW!
I love this one by ‘Wayne’:
I will be voting Conservative whenever we have an election as I have become very impressed with Mr. harper and I think he is one of the best leaders whe have had in quite some time. We have some serious challenges in front of us and I certainly do now want Dion being in the spot to make any decisions for the country after all he has quite a track record 44 confidence motions he has sat on his hands in a vote after complaining about the gov’t - what a record that is!

I think he meant to say “do not want” rather than “do now”.

Right Stephane. Wanna tell us Canadian’s what Trudeau built? Make sure to include debt, defcit, unemployment rate, rate of inflation, spending vs. gdp, etc.

‘Each time the Conservatives are in power they destroy what we Liberals have built’

Any chance for Emmerson to run against this guy in Sask., with the conservative Batters not running again. That would be a great race. Emmerson would win, as Goodale couldn’t handle a better liberal from Sask.

lol!!!

Not a chance MaryT. That would just about guarantee a Liberal or NDP seat.

In the Gatineau Quebec riding across from Ottawa, there is word tonight that the infamous Louise Arbour, the great liberal defender of human rights has been approached to run as a liberal candidate in the upcoming election…No decision yet but this should be one to watch….Mr. Bean is digging deep.and it was also mentioned that should she refuse….they will ask Dion’s former director of communications…How would that make you feel…knowing you’re number 2 ????

Tonite in Wpg,leading up to Steffi’s speech at a Town Hall…some good Manitoba truckers staged a ‘protest’ in rush hour traffic in front of the hall!Lots of honking while the Wpg.cbc was trying to do radio interview.Looooong lineups, but they made their point!Steff,go home!
Proud to be a Manitoban tonite.

Louise Arbour is 61 years old. That makes her to old to run as an MP.
Just ask Robert Thibault.

Good one paulsstuff!! I just watched the local(Wpg) supper news, covering Dion’s big speech. The ctv reporter started off by saying ‘Dion has a msg for Canadians..he’s shifting gears on the Green Shift’..more ‘accomodations’ coming! They then had Daffy Duck himself on,..his remarks:
PMSH is alone to call it(GS) crazy!
It’s very positive to help farmers adapt..it’s unavoidable.
Tell that to the irate truckers that stated,’the carbon tax will put them out of business’
yup,the Liberal Party..in touch with real folks!

“What the Conservative government has done to this economy especially is very wrong. Each time the Conservatives are in power they destroy what we Liberals have built,” Dion told reporters in Regina.”
Definition of communism: taking from “everybody” (chosen victims) according to their skill (capacity to produce) and giving it to “everybody” (chosen benefactors) according to their need (greed).
“We need to be back for Canadians, and we need to convince them about that. It will be a fight, hour after hour, day after day and I will have a great team to win it.”
If Joseph Stalin was able to show Ukrainian peasants how that system works then there is no reason why Dion should not be able to show Canadians how it works. After all Dion’s predecessor and mental leader Trudeau forced NEP on Alberta and used that money to bribe the rest of Canada.
According to Liberanos “redistribution” is the one and only function of federal government in management of Canadian economy.
