Have a little nosh at Blog Nosh

About a week ago, Liz at Blog Nosh Magazine asked my permission to republish this Canada Day article. I’m not sure exactly what tweaked her interest in that one, but whom am I to judge?

After checking out their rather eclectic site, I agreed and thanked her for asking. It’s not the first time that complete articles from my blog have been republished in full elsewhere, but I sure do appreciate when people ask permission rather than coming across it via a statcounter or google. She sent me a button too, and I just have to figure out how to install it. Thanks, Liz.

(Update: I did it!)

Anyway, just noticed that it’s been posted. Please check out the whole site. Great graphics.

I think it could become one of my favourites as I settle back with a hot, fragrant cup of Earl Grey.

I will have to watch that I don’t do that Joanne. Is providing a link a bad thing? :-) – sometimes you cannot wait for permission from the owner…but acknowledging where it is from and giving credit I thought was perfectly acceptable. (?)–

    Oh, that’s fine! lol!

I was just talking about somebody republishing your whole article without letting you know. It’s nice to be notified. That’s all.

-Especially if it’s not on BT’s, etc.

See? It’s not only your “regulars” who appreciate you.
    Keep up the good work!

    Ha-ha! Thanks, Gabby.

The problem is that sometimes the republishing is in,… shall I say, less than flattering circumstances…

Hmmm. I hadn’t thought about that angle. But, here are some wise words from
“The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.” Oscar Wilde

“Sandwich every bit of criticism between two thick layers of praise.”
    Mary Kay Ash

“The important thing to me is that I’m not driven by people’s praise and I’m not slowed down by people’s criticism. I’m just trying to work at the highest level I can.” Russell Crowe

Wise words, Gabby. Thanks for that.

I like Wilde’s the best. I’ll think of that next time I see my posts being trashed elsewhere.

Congrats, and thanks for the link to Blog Nosh…some very interesting stuff there.
Now..if only I could get the ‘puter on to the deck, I could stretch out on the lounger, enjoy the summer breeze, and read it like an old fashioned magazine…lol…
