Wait…would Ignatief prefer that Canada not provide an air craft at all as one was not available? Or would he prefer that Bernier promise to rent a plane to assist? Canada did what it needed to do under the circumstances. Ignatieff - this is weak. Seriously, the plane was provided as were millions of dollars in relief. Every time you get yourself involved in one of these namecalling partisan affairs, you demean your own status. You and the faltering Liberal Party should be focusing on rebuilding the pathetic grounds the party stands on instead of making weak attempts to unseat the government.The Liberals seem to be stuck in the 90s with this sort of blame-gaming and in tandem with the ridiculous carbon tax - proves the Liberals have absolutely no idea what the pulse is, never mind potentially getting their finger on it…

The only thing liberals and NDP have to contribute to this country is calling for people to be fired. They never have any alternate policies, and constantly create imaginery scandals.

OK. I think I must be missing the boat here…
We came through to honour a promise eventhough it cost $1m to rent a plane, we are taking a active role in working with the Afghan government and expect a voice consider our soldiers are getting killed there and offered too low an aid figure to a militaristic government until we knew that the funds would make it to the people in need?
I don’t understand which I guess is why I don’t vote Liberal anymore.

These blathering partisan puffin droppings from THAT GUY who wrote the Torture manual for Geo.W? Not THAT same Iggy Mike, stentorian harrumpher and hoohah-er on the international stage as champion of “Human Rights?”
And did anyone see a late week MDL show where former Lib Min. of Justice admits that they didn’t get the job done for Omar K? But Now it’s all blame, all the time, on the “Conservatives step” he sez.

This is the best the Liberals could do this week for CTV I guess.
I went out for a nice long hike while the show was on.
I see I didn’t miss anything.
A bit off-topic but what’s going on with the provincial PC’s….have rec’d several calls where no one says anything at all. Redial identifies Ontario PC party.
Note to PC’s - if you’re going to call folks on a Sunday morning, at least have the couresty of a voice on the other end. Better yet, I haven’t decided to renew my membership yet…if this keeps up I’m not going to.

How did Chretain get our troops to Afghan in the first place, I seem to remember that they had to rent planes to move cdn men and equipment, then sent them in the wrong color uniforms.

Are you kidding? The libs couldn’t supply heavy air lift capacity to meet need of the victims of the Red River flood. You know the flood where Chrets showed up aboard a Challenger had his picture taken as he threw a sand bag and then left.

And didn’t the Chrets call an election during that flood. I think the libs should remember that there are many of us out here that do remember all their gaffs, and when they come up with their outrage/scandal of the week, we will remember them.
Just think, if JC had not begged to get Kadar out of prison, and bring him back to Canada, he could never have taken his son back to kill a US Marine, and might still be among the living himself. And maybe us taxpayers would not be on the hook for welfare for his OBL loving family. Maybe his son would not be in a w/chair. Liberals, think before you act or open your mouths.

I don’t really see how this would play against Bernier. It’s really more of an indictment against the opposition parties and the media that act like shameless paparazzi when any hint of a scandal is detected. They don’t seem to care who is hurt in the process.

Watching Craig Oliver and Jane Taber do everything but link arms and dance a jig over the delay of getting aid to Burma because of the C-17 problems was sickening.
Didn’t those two twits even consider how the delay that made them so happy possibly meant life or death to real human beings?
