Thanks for the link, I hadn't realised this opportunity was available. The comment I left follows:

This act is a silly anti scientific restriction on the rights of property owners to enjoy their own property. I would suggest that if politicians are going to ignore scientific study, and instead rely on the opinions of noisy activists, then perhaps we can save some money by defunding science faculties at all of our Universities in Ontario, starting with the University of Guelph. If the scientists that work there are going to renowned all over the world, and ignored in their own backyard, we might as well give them a one way ticket to somewhere their knowledge, work and rigorous scientific method might be appreciated.

Ruth, great point. It would be especially difficult for some seniors.

BTW, putting comment moderation on for now. Will check back later. Thanks.

I just looked up the Weed Control Act in Ontario and they have 23 weeds listed as noxious weeds that we must kill. I can just see us out there on hands and knees pulling all these weeds.

Do we not still have a Weed Control Act in Ontario and weed inspectors to make us control all noxious weeds on our property? How does one do this if we can't spray with a Health Canada tested spray.
