Sandy says this:

I have another source that says the unions paid teachers’ pay for 20 full days leave to do this out of a 28 day election — as long as they were doing union work such as helping a Liberal candidate in a constituency where there was a close race.

I'm going to bed, Möbius. I'm feeling rather sick. I think I'll sleep for four years and hope that Ontario finally comes to its senses by the next election.

That really would be annoying.

It sure would.

I passed on that link to a couple of my BT colleagues. That'll raise their blood pressure a bit. (Which isn't good for Sandy. I shouldn't have done that.)

It's not clear from the article if the teachers "released for union work" are being paid their normal salaries for it, as well as the supply teachers. That really would be annoying.
